"...but as much as it sucks, someone out there has it far
worse than I do. This is why I want to do more."
Do More Mondays started as a commitment I made to myself on
October 16, 2010 ~ for the next fifty-two Mondays I would make a donation to a
different charity. It wasn't much but I believed that money was only half
the significance; creating awareness of issues and the organizations dedicated
to helping was also important.
When the goal was met my passion remained. I continued
making and blogging about my weekly contributions, as well as getting involved
with fundraising events, until October 29, 2012 ~ that was when I went
travelling for nine months.
More than $1300 was given to over 105 different charities.
Again, it wasn't a lot of money but the message was important to me.
Knowing that I could inspire others to do more made all the difference.
While abroad my extremely humble friend Casey continued Do More Mondays on his blog ~ thank you for being incredible! I'm really proud of you.

Returning home in the second half of 2013 I fundraised and participated in four charity runs
and volunteered with building homes for the less fortunate.
With the start of a new year I want to continue making a life that
matters for others. I do not have a lot of money but I have a lot of
heart. It can be a challenge sometimes only working with what you have.
If I've learned anything in life, that's all you really need because
someone out there has it far worse.
I challenge anyone to do more.
