Besides the RBC Run for the Kids next weekend, I'm thinking about what to do in October. Saturday 19th is the public CN Tower Climb for United Way which I've done twice, while Sunday 20th is the Toronto Waterfront Marathon. I'm leaning towards the latter even though I feel the 5km option is too short while the 21km half-marathon is too long. I'll need to sleep on this decision.
Last year I only ran 5k but this time I went above and beyond! I live nearly 3km from the starting line so I jogged it in the morning. After the usual speech and warm up I ran the 5km - feeling confident I continued to the 10km circuit! Following that I ran back home! I have never pounded the pavement so hard before.
It feels fantastic knowing I am capable of doing it. (52min for the 10km portion!)
