I dare you not to smile while watching one of his videos! It's impossible not to feel encourage to do more.
Did I mention Jamie has cycled from Bangkok to Gloucester? That's over 22,500km! He also holds the world record of 265 hours of static cycling. All for charity. Incredible.
I wish I had heard of him sooner so I could have followed every step of his journey ~ check his tweets @MrJamieMcDonald for daily inspirations and some scenic photos.
Okay I think I've gushed enough. This week I'm making a donation to 'Great Ormond Street Children's Charity' and 'The Pied Piper Appeal' through Jamie's fundraising page.
Great Ormond Street Hospital provides inspirational and world-class care to hundreds of children every day. The charity is concentrated in four main areas ‑ redevelopment, research, medical equipment, and accommodation and welfare. Their impact and annual reports can be read here.
The Pied Piper Appeal is a charity created to fund and build the new Children’s Centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, refurbish and revitalise the Battledown children’s ward at Cheltenham General Hospital, purchase new equipment, enhance hospital environments and help individual children to make life at home easier with hoists and other equipment. A list of current fundraising projects can be found here.
I challenge anyone to do more.
