New Year...

I had a lot of ideas when I began this blog - mainly as a more serious place to write my thoughts that didn't fit so well on my other online presences.  Somewhere along the line I began thinking about thinking too heavily and lost focus on a number of things.

It's the beginning of a new year so it feels fitting to bring a new attitude towards my life!  I finished reading 'The Happiness Project' today and I want try my take on Gretchen Rubin's project.  Each month begins with a resolution; the following months builds on top of the previous.  By December I'll hopefully be in the habit of doing a list of resolutions towards happiness!

I want to write more about her book but not at this moment.  My resolutions for January are:

  • Smile even when no one is around to see it
  • Speak up because my voice is soft and low
  • Always say hello ~ be the first to break the ice

Rubin has a number of resolutions that speak to me but speaking on my priorities it was difficult choosing which to do first!  The key thing to remember about happiness - and practically all skills in life - is growth by doing a little each day.  I am confident this will be the beginning of something important!

Expect more updates ~ I've got a lot to write about!
