Do More Mondays - #37 - "Refuge RR"

This week I'm making a donation to 'Refuge RR' ~ a federally registered, charitable organization which rescues, rehabilitates and provides permanent homes for abused, neglected and/or abandoned horses. We also provide peaceful retirement for horses who are no longer serviceable. Along with our equine residents we also provide sanctuary to a variety of other animals: sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, dogs and cats.

There are a number of equine charities around the world - local, abroad, large, and small - so it wasn't easy choosing just one.  But I wanted to help someplace that is making a visible difference.  A few years ago CTV did a short news coverage about Refuge RR, describing the difficulties of preserving so many lives.  I think it's admirable that they've managed through it and continue to place value where others do not.

I challenge anyone to do more.
