Do More Mondays - 109 - Be Proactive

These past few couple of days have been fantastic!

On Saturday I took an automated external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course to recertify my level C.  I had been meaning to get it done for some time and the opportunity just sprung up!  I'm considering taking a First Aid course at some point because the knowledge is invaluable.

On Sunday I ran my first half-marathon!  The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon attracts over 25,000 runners and an incredible number of cheering spectators.  I have never seen so many amazing people gather for such a charitable run!  The energy was undeniably electric and I felt fantastic finishing 1hr 51min.
I'm considering doing the 10k Monster Dash this coming Sunday but the registration is pricey.  I'll need to sleep on the decision.

Today I had an interview with Indigo/Chapters and got hired on the spot!  It's for a seasonal overnight indirect customer services position that goes until January, when I'll hopefully be elevated to a permanent position or have saved enough to fly to Australia.
