#365grateful ~ Day 34

While reading a self-help, the situation to apply presented itself gratefully.
My dad is not the easiest person to get along with.  He is argumentative - must have the final say - and holds grudges.  Since practicing equanimity I hardly find it resourceful to feed the ego and today's situation was very petty ~ no sense going there.

Our behaviour is a function of our decisions, not our conditions, which is why when we respond to things, we always have a choice.  Reactive people focus on the weakness of other people, the problems in the environment, and circumstances over which they have no control.  Their focus results in blaming and accusing attitudes, reactive language, and increased feelings of victimization.  Be proactive - work on the things you can do something about - that which is to change from the inside-out.
