Do More Mondays - #140 - The Living City Foundation

In lieu of registering for the Toronto 10-Miler (because it's early morning/inconvenient to get to and it's on my birthday) I'm making a donation to its supporting charity, The Living City Foundation.
The Living City Foundation supports the work of Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and raises money for projects undertaken by TRCA.  They help people understand, enjoy and look after the natural environment.

Toronto and Region Conservation is the largest owner of green space in the Toronto region with over 40,000 acres.  It owns and operates Black Creek Pioneer Village, the Kortright Centre for Conservation, Tommy Thompson Park, three outdoor education field centres and ten parks and conservation areas.  It also owns Humber Bay Park, Bluffers Park, the Ajax Waterfront Park and the Don Valley Brick Works.  These places, and many others, are maintained by municipal partners.

Having just run through Tommy Thompson Park on Saturday, I greatly appreciate the beauty of this man-made peninsula.  It is an urban wilderness ~ close to downtown but a significant bird and environmental conservation area.

I challenge anyone to do more.
