Do More Mondays - #15 - "PetSmart Charities"

Hiya!  I recently noticed that I had never donated to any animal related foundation, so last week I asked for suggestions on FurAffinity and received some replies.  I'll try my best to alternate between a variety of charities each week! :D

That is why this week I am making a donation to "PetSmart Charities" ~ the largest funder of animal-welfare efforts in North America.  The are an independent, non-profit organization that creates and supports programs that save the lives of homeless pets, raise awareness of companion animal welfare issues and promote healthy relationships between people and pets.  These efforts include adoption, spray/neuter initiatives, emergency relief programs, and many others. 

I wish I had the time to write out more about what they do, but I'm fairly busy with some other stuff at the moment.  I love how PetSmart is a strong advocate for adopting rather than purchasing pets ~ in Canada alone they've helped over 100,000 pets get adopted!  Definitely check out their 2009 annual report to learn more.

I challenge anyone to do more.
