Do More Mondays - #25 - "Pride Toronto"

In high school I had a friend who was a year younger than me.  I stayed over at his place one night and he came out to me, telling me he was gay.  I kissed him on the lips before going to bed.  Perhaps I was leading him on up until that point without knowing it becayse our friendship changed a little after that.  If I could relive that moment I would kiss him more sincerely - back then I wasn't as sure about my sexuality as I am now.  If I ever see him again I'd like to let him know how I feel ~ he was someone special.

I truly wish this song was out when I was in school.  High school is just a short span of life ~ things do get better afterwards.  Just keep your head up and stay strong.

That is why this week I'm making a donation to 'Pride Toronto' ~ a non-profit organization that celebrate the history, courage, diversity and future of Toronto's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer/Questioning, 2 Spirited, Allies communities.  Pride Toronto has existed for years in various forms and activities ~ particularly the annual Pride Week and Pride Parade.  There is a lot of information on their website and I encourage anyone to check it out!

I challenge anyone to do more.
