In the third-quarter of 2013 I began to take running as a serious hobby by participating in road races ~ the highpoint was completing my first half-marathon in October. Since then it has become my goal to do a full marathon! I run multiple times a week and focus on my lower half while at the gym, even though I don't follow a set training schedule or have a well-balanced diet, I trust my training.

The Lower Don Trail is popular among cyclists and if you're on the west side of the river there is a lesser known dirt trail with some great nature (despite still being earshot from motorists and train tracks).
I'm unsure whether I'll participate in any June or July races since most aren't over 10K and registration fees add up. By August I believe my fitness will allow me to do the 30K A Midsummer Night's Run comfortably and I'm already registered for the 25K RBC Run for the Kids in September.
October is the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon ~ I have already registered and everyday I feel one step closer to reaching my goal.
Thinking forward and ambitiously, I would love to participate in January's Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge (21.1km + 42.2km) or Dopey Challenge (5k + 10k + 21.1k + 42.2k) would be my next goal.
