Yesterday was the Terry Fox Run and participating each year has become a tradition. There is so much history and legacy that it feels important to be a part of change - the fight for cancer research. I wrote about my runs in 2011 and 2013, so I don't feel there is much worth repeating besides the significance of being aware. Cancer is becoming curable and there are inspiring individuals who refuse to be pitied because it is much more challenging to focus on ability than disability. Take inspiration and do more.
I did not fundraise this year but instead made a donate at my run site. Furthermore, I walked with my ex-girlfriend instead of running ~ I feel plagued with injuries every other time I run. My knees have been flaring up and it worries me that next weekend is the 25km RBC Run for the Kids.
I challenge anyone to do more and to be inspired by a dream.
